At present the WORLDTONE website cannot process online orders -- but we can still take your orders via phone.
To place an order for shoes, clothing or accessories, please contact us during our open hours via our LIVE CHAT or, if you prefer to speak with one of us, you can always call either our NEW YORK or LOS ANGELES location. A team member will happily check stock for you and if a product is out of stock, advise you of options to Special Order or Back Order your desired item.
WORLDTONE accepts all major credit cards for website purchases and provides secure payment options via SQUARE. We cannot accept cash, check, COD or any other forms of payment for shipped items.
WORLDTONE uses multiple methods for shipping, depending on the origin and the destination of the products ordered, but we generally ship via USPS Priority mail. The cost for Ground/Home shipping for 1 pair of shoes is $15.00. The cost for each additional pair is $5.00. Please allow 3 to 7 business days for Home/Ground delivery.
We ship without signature required, so if you’re concerned about porch piracy, we also offer shipping via FedEx Ground with Hold at Location and you can pick up your package at a staffed FedEx location near you. WORLDTONE also requires that all shipments be delivered ONLY to the billing address associated with the credit card used for payment or to a FEDEX Hold at Location where the person picking up the parcel matches the person who paid for the item.

WORLDTONE is not able to ship shoes internationally.
Based on the 2018 Wayfair sale ruling, Sales Tax is required to be charged on all sales according to each state’s requirements based on the pickup or delivery address of each purchase. Even if you are visiting us from another state or country and have an out-of-state or country address, it is NOT your residency that determines whether we are required to charge you sales tax -- it is determined by the item's pickup or the shipment's delivery location. Finally, sales tax applies to the total of all taxable products, services and fees including shipping.
As of 2021, WORLDTONE is currently required to collect sales tax for any retail sales made in the states of New York or California. The number of states we are required to collect sales tax may change depending on the quantity and/or total value of sales we have in a particular state.
New York Sales Tax Rules:
As of 12/1/2021, New York City sales tax is 8.875%.
New York has special sales tax rules for clothing and footwear. As of March 1, 2014, the sales tax rules for New York are as follows:
- For clothing and footwear that costs under $110 PER ITEM there is NO SALES TAX in New York.
- All non-clothing and non-footwear merchandise as well as clothing and footwear that costs $110 or more is subject to New York full sales tax of 8.875%
- Special sales tax exemptions exist for 501c3 non-profit organizations and certain entertainment productions that have been granted exemption status. To qualify for either exemption, you must present proper paperwork BEFORE making any purchase. WORLDTONE cannot retroactively credit you for sales tax paid.
California Sales Tax Rules
As of January 1, 2019, Los Angeles, California sales tax is 9.5%.
Unlike New York state, California does NOT have special exemptions on sales tax for clothing or footwear. Therefore, whether you are purchasing clothing, shoes, or other items at whatever cost -- all items purchased in store in our Los Angeles location or shipped within California are subject to sales tax.
Additionally, the government of California does NOT offers ANY sales tax exemptions to 501c3 non-profit organizations or entertainment productions.
Items Shipped Out of State
As explained above, sales tax is charged on any and all items according to each state’s requirements based on the address of each shipment. Sales tax applies to the total of all taxable products, services and fees including shipping.
In-store purchases to be shipped to an out-of-state address MAY BE exempt from sales tax; however, they are subject to a $15 handling fee as well as any shipping costs.
Returns, Exchanges, Store Credits and Restocking Fees.
We will gladly exchange or refund your Worldtone purchase of items that we normally stock if they are received by WORLDTONE within 14 days of purchase with the original receipt and in new, unaltered condition and with all tags attached and in the original, undamaged packaging. Shipped returns of stock shoes must either be RECEIVED by WORLDTONE within 14 days of receipt of goods or received by FEDEX, UPS or USPS within 7 days of receipt of goods in order to receive a refund. Note: FEDEX/UPS/USPS tracking information will be used to determine client receipt and return dates. All refunds are subject to a minimum 5% restocking fee. Store credits after 31 days are subject to a minimum 5% restocking fee.
Category 1 Returns: STOCK SHOES & ACCESSORIES: We will gladly exchange or refund your Worldtone purchase of stock shoes or accessories if you are not completely satisfied if they are returned to WORLDTONE with the original receipt and in new, unaltered condition and in the original, undamaged packaging within 14 days of receipt of purchase. STORE CREDIT will be issued for returns of stock shoes and accessories received by WORLDTONE within 15 to 31 days of receipt of purchase. There is a minimum 5% restocking fee on all Category 1 items returned for refund. There is no restocking fee on Store Credits issued on eligible Category 1 returns. Any returns after day 31 receive Store Credit only and will be less sales tax and less restocking fee as determined per management discretion.
Category 2 Returns: STOCK DANCEWEAR: There are NO REFUNDS for dancewear. Stock dancewear is returnable for STORE CREDIT ONLY less a 20% restocking fee on dancewear returned within 7 days of receipt of purchase. On days 8 thru 31, the restocking fee increases to 35%. There are no returns accepted after day 31. Stockings, tights and dancewear with built in undergarments are FINAL sale; these items are returnable or exchangeable.
Category 3 Returns: SPECIAL ORDER & CONSIGNMENT ITEMS: There are NO REFUNDS for Special Order or Consignment Items. These items can be returned for STORE CREDIT ONLY within 31 days of receipt of purchase less all restocking fees AND deductions for any shipping, RUSH or special order surcharges. The restocking fee for Category 3 Returns made within 7 days of receipt of purchase is 25%. On days 8 thru 31, the restocking fee on Category 3 returns increases to 40%. There are no returns accepted after day 31. Split size or irregular special orders shoes as well as dancewear with built-in undergarments are FINAL sale; these items are NOT returnable or exchangeable.
BONUS DISCOUNTS & BONUS GIFTS WILL BE FULLY DEDUCTED from the total refund amount if a return invalidates the original qualifying bonus criteria. To avoid deduction, bonus gifts must be returned in their original condition.
GENERAL INFO ON STORE CREDITS: Store Credits are valid for 1 year from date of issue and are not replaceable if lost or stolen. Store Credits can be exchanged for gift certificates but will have same expiration date & limitations as original Store Credit.
DEFECTS & REPAIRS:
On rare occasions, items may develop problems that appear AFTER you have danced in them. As explained above, there are NO REFUNDS for used shoes. That said, WORLDTONE does its best to protect its clients by providing its own internal warranty coverage. Please note neither WORLDTONE nor its manufacturers will consider an easily repairable, non-structural problem to be indication of a manufacturer defect. But, if a problem should occur within the first 90 days of purchase, WORLDTONE will do its best to remedy the problem, but reserves the right to:
- Repair the product locally – at no cost to you
- Return the product to the original manufacturer for repair or replacement
- Issue a partial or full Store Credit at WORLDTONE’s discretion
- Reject the request if WORLDTONE believes the problem was caused by normal wear & tear or customer misuse
NOTE: Acceptance of the item by our staff does not constitute agreement to repair or replace the item. Repairs or other resolutions may require management and/or manufacturer approval or may require repairs that are NOT done on the premises & CANNOT be done instantly. Do not expect to get instant exchanges/repairs; the process can take several days.
NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES or STORE CREDITS will be given for:
ALL ITEMS THAT TRIGGER or RECEIVE BUY MORE, SAVE MORE BUNDLE DISCOUNTS ABOVE 5%
RETURNING YOUR ITEM BY SHIPPING:
Shipped returns of stock shoes must either be RECEIVED by WORLDTONE by the above-listed return dates in order to receive appropriate refund or Store Credit values. Additionally, items due back at WORLDTONE within 14 days of receipt that are received by FEDEX or UPS within 7 days of client receipt will be deemed on time for purposes of return. Finally, items due back at WORLDTONE within 7 days of receipt that are received by FEDEX or UPS within 4 days of client receipt will also be deemed on time for purposes of return. NOTE: FEDEX/UPS tracking information will be used to determine client receipt and FEDEX/UPS return dates.
Use the original shipping box if possible and completely cover the original shipping label. If the original shipping box can't be used, please use shipping quality, corrugated box. Your returned item must arrive at WORLDTONE undamaged. DO NOT USE THE SHOE BOX AS THE SHIPPING BOX. Using the shoe box as the shipping box will result in a minimum $15 deduction from your refund or Store Credit.
We recommend purchasing shipping insurance. You are responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
